Cape Town Verses Johannesburg

Oh, how I love to compare the two cities.

My favorite line is always Johannesburg has nothing on Cape Town lol. That is true hahaha

I love how God makes us still… One of my verses bible verses is Be Still And know that I am God.

2 years when I moved here in Covid was a nightmare.

Everything about JHB for me was a nightmare I stepped down from a technical role. I had my dream job lived in a beautiful home. I love my Pernod Ricard Colleagues. I still miss and appreciate that time fondly.

There are a lot of things about JHB that I don’t enjoy

For one I hardly see coloured people LOL Coloured as in Coloured Christians.

I told myself I was moving to JHB for my career. You see the plans I made and now God is laughing LOL . I’m laughing too.

I was stuck alone In my home the kids were stuck in CT with their dad because they went for school holidays and could not come back.One day I changed my zookst account from CT to JHB. I never activated I just changed it

So premium members can speak to anyone. This guy messaged me non stop non stop

I was not even taking note of him at all. He sent me his no his email address lol

Eventually one day I decided to email him.

2 ½ years later we still friends. He has become my friend my confidant one of my best friends in JHB

We argue we challenge each other but the best part is we learn from each other. We think alike lol

No we not dating never dated never even went on a date LOL

But he absolutely is one of the high lights of my day every day ( most days) . We just talk and share

Why am I telling you this. Because this is what I love about JHB

Everyone in my life that has add value in my life in JHB has not been a coloured Christian

How narrow minded we can be. Now this is the difference between CT and JHB

CT is great but part of me thinks we still stuck in ‘Apartheid’

Dating across your race religion is so frowned apon

Its so in us. In JHB its not frowned apon its normal...

My friend is Muslim. But we are so similar. His values His Beliefs His Integrity

His goals his views, it very few things we don’t agree on.

And when we don’t agree he will explain to me why he don’t agre and vice versa

JHB has really open my eyes to not be so stupid and limited to who we allow into our lives

These lists and types and Superficial Rubbish is Rubbish honestly

So today im saying…there absolutely is great Value in Living in JHB

The People are Diverse. Love and Respect knows No Boundaries Race or Culture
